Description
A delightful autumn salad combining tart apples, juicy red grapes, toasted pecans, and a warming drizzle of honey.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 tart apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)
- 2 cups red grapes, halved
- 1 cup toasted pecans
- 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Wash and dry the apples and grapes thoroughly. Dice the apples into bite-sized pieces and slice the grapes in half.
- In a skillet over medium heat, toast the pecans until fragrant and lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Stir regularly and set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the diced apples and halved grapes. Drizzle with lemon juice and stir gently to coat.
- Sprinkle ground cinnamon over the fruit and mix well for even distribution.
- Fold in the toasted pecans and finish with a generous drizzle of honey. Toss gently to combine.
- Let the salad sit for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
Use fresh, ripe fruits for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness with more honey if desired. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days.
