Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
- Place egg whites in a clean, dry bowl and beat on medium speed until foamy.
- Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff peaks form and mixture is glossy (about 5-7 minutes).
- Fold in vanilla extract and green food coloring gently until desired shade is achieved.
- Transfer mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe tree shapes onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- If desired, add edible glitter or mini chocolate candies as decorations before baking.
- Bake in preheated oven for 1.5 to 2 hours until meringues are fully dried and lift easily off parchment.
- Turn off the oven, leave the door ajar and cool completely to maintain crisp texture.
