Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cherries: Wash and pit the cherries.
  2. Make the Filling: In a bowl, combine cherries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
  3. Prepare the Crust: If making from scratch, mix flour and salt, cut in butter until crumbly, then add ice water and roll out.
  4. Assemble the Pies: Line a greased muffin tin with crust and fill with cherry mixture.
  5. Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until crust is golden.
