Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together your softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in each egg one at a time until well incorporated.
- Gradually mix in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
- Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped cherries, being careful not to overmix.
- Scoop tablespoons of cookie dough onto your prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set but still soft in the center.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
