Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together your softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in each egg one at a time until well incorporated.
  4. Gradually mix in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped cherries, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Scoop tablespoons of cookie dough onto your prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set but still soft in the center.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
