- 2 Boneless chicken breasts or thighs
- 2 cups Fresh broccoli florets
- 1 cup Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 slices Bacon
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Butter (or olive oil)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: Herbs like thyme or rosemary
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel to drain excess fat.
- In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until the onion is translucent.
- Add boneless chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, roughly 5–7 minutes per side.
- Fold in the fresh broccoli, cover with a lid, and steam for about 5 minutes until tender but still bright green.
- Stir in the crispy bacon and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
- Plate while hot, garnishing with extra bacon or fresh herbs, if desired.
