- 1 lb large prawns, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the prawns by peeling and deveining them, and patting them dry with paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and herbs, whisking until well blended.
- Add the prawns to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or up to 2 hours in the fridge.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Skewer the prawns (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand) and grill for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
- Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, and garnish with additional lemon juice and herbs before serving.
- Pair with a fresh salad, rice, or garlic bread.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the grill and ensure the grill is hot before placing the prawns on. Allow prawns to rest for juiciness.
