Description

Delicious BBQ Grilled Prawns marinated in a flavorful mix of olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the prawns by peeling and deveining them, and patting them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and herbs, whisking until well blended.
  3. Add the prawns to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or up to 2 hours in the fridge.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Skewer the prawns (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand) and grill for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, and garnish with additional lemon juice and herbs before serving.
  7. Pair with a fresh salad, rice, or garlic bread.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the grill and ensure the grill is hot before placing the prawns on. Allow prawns to rest for juiciness.
