Description

A delightful fusion of pancakes and smash burgers, perfect for a hearty brunch or family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20 or 90/10)
  • 1 cup Buttermilk Pancake Mix
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 1 Egg (or flax egg for vegan)
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter (for cooking)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • Chives or Parsley (for garnish)
  • Maple Syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Season ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Divide into golf ball-sized portions.
  2. In another bowl, mix pancake mix with milk and egg until just combined.
  3. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the beef balls, smashing down with a spatula, for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Pour pancake batter onto the skillet, cooking until bubbles form (2-3 minutes), then flip.
  5. On each plate, stack two pancakes with a beef patty in between and drizzle with syrup.

Notes

Keep pancakes warm in a low oven. Add fresh herbs or cheese for extra flavor.
