Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin or chuck beef, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces cremini or button mushrooms, halved
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or thyme, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Chop the steak into bite-sized pieces and sauté in olive oil until browned.
  2. Add chopped onions and garlic to the skillet and sauté until soft.
  3. Transfer steak, sautéed aromatics, and mushrooms to the slow cooker.
  4. Pour in soy sauce and beef broth, add fresh herbs, and stir gently.
  5. Cover and set the slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours.
  6. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or salad, drizzling with the sauce.

Notes
