- 1 package Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, black olives, fresh cilantro, jalapeños
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat and season with taco seasoning.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes and let simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Unroll the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls on a greased baking dish, pinching the seams to form a solid base.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto the center of the dough and sprinkle with cheese, then fold the edges of the crescent rolls over the filling.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- For extra flakiness, brush the top with a beaten egg before baking.
