Description

A quick and delightful taco bake featuring flaky crescent rolls filled with seasoned ground beef, tangy tomatoes, and gooey cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, black olives, fresh cilantro, jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat and season with taco seasoning.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes and let simmer for a couple of minutes.
  4. Unroll the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls on a greased baking dish, pinching the seams to form a solid base.
  5. Spoon the meat mixture onto the center of the dough and sprinkle with cheese, then fold the edges of the crescent rolls over the filling.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
  7. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  8. For extra flakiness, brush the top with a beaten egg before baking.
