Description

A rich and savory Miso Butter Salmon recipe that is quick to prepare and a family favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add miso paste, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Stir until well combined and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Blend in honey or maple syrup and a squeeze of lemon juice, then remove from heat.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the baking dish and brush half of the miso butter sauce over the fillets.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from the oven, brush on the remaining miso butter sauce, and let rest for a couple of minutes before squeezing more lemon juice on top.
  7. Serve with your choice of sides like steamed vegetables or rice.

Notes

Keep an eye on the salmon while baking to avoid overcooking. Let it rest after removing from heat to enhance flavor.
