Description

A delightful blend of sweet and savory marinated beef served over rice with colorful sautéed vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms (shiitake or button), sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 scallions, chopped
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, ginger, and sesame oil until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef into the marinade and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add oil and sauté the mushrooms and other vegetables until crisp-tender; set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, stir-fry the marinated beef, cooking for about 3-5 minutes until caramelized.
  5. Spoon cooked rice into bowls and top with the sautéed beef and vegetables; garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
