Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Add the eggs and citrus zest, blending thoroughly to incorporate all flavors.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder, then gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, folding gently.
- Carefully fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
