Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- 2 scallions, sliced
- Steamed rice or vegetables for serving
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes.
- Sauté the Chicken: Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and sauté until golden, about 5-7 minutes.
- Prepare the Sauce: Combine remaining marinade with cornstarch. Once chicken is cooked, add the mixture to the pan and allow it to thicken for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and scallions on top. Serve over rice or vegetables.
Notes
For a crispy texture, pan-fry the chicken after marinating. You can add red pepper flakes for a hint of heat.
