- 1 package puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine cherries, sugar, and cinnamon. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
- On a floured surface, roll out puff pastry into a rectangle (1/8 inch thick).
- Cut the pastry into 4×4 inch squares and place a spoonful of the cherry mixture in the center of each.
- Fold the pastry squares diagonally to form triangles and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with egg wash for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Cool slightly and serve warm.
Notes
