Description

A crispy and flavorful Halibut Tempura that brings comfort and elegance to any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh halibut fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup tempura batter mix
  • 1 cup cold sparkling water
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Sea salt (for seasoning)
  • Optional veggies (sweet potatoes, zucchini, bell peppers)

Instructions

  1. Pat halibut fillets dry and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Whisk tempura batter mix with cold sparkling water until smooth.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Dip halibut pieces in batter and fry in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Remove and drain on paper towels, sprinkle with sea salt.
  6. Prepare a dipping sauce with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve warm with a wedge of lemon or lime.

Notes
