Description

A delightful, buttery cake filled with juicy peaches, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large fresh peaches, diced
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the diced peaches, reserving some slices for the top.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  9. Place reserved peach slices on top and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  11. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider adding a splash of peach nectar or a sprinkle of peach preserves on top once cooled.
