A fun and fiery twist on classic mac and cheese, baked into delightful muffins topped with Cheetos Flamin’ Hot chips.

- 1 cup elbow macaroni
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup whole milk
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup Cheetos Flamin’ Hot chips, crushed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: fresh parsley or chives, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with muffin liners.
- Cook the macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in milk. Bring to a simmer, then gradually add the shredded cheese until melted and creamy. Mix in garlic powder and black pepper.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce. Mix in the egg to bind the mixture.
- Fold crushed Cheetos into the macaroni mixture.
- Scoop the mixture into muffin liners, filling them about three-quarters full. Top with whole Cheetos.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the muffins for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
These muffins are best enjoyed warm but can also be served at room temperature. Pair with ranch dip or a spicy aioli for extra flavor.
