- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing (mayonnaise, anchovy paste, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice)
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded or shaved
- 4 ciabatta or brioche buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; let rest for 10 minutes.
- Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and the last with panko and dried herbs.
- Dip each chicken breast in flour, then in egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Whisk together Caesar dressing ingredients until smooth.
- Assemble the sandwich: slice buns in half, layer with lettuce, crispy chicken, and drizzle with dressing; top with parmesan and close buns.
Notes
Let chicken rest after frying to retain juices. Customize with arugula or tomatoes for added freshness.
