  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing (mayonnaise, anchovy paste, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice)
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded or shaved
  • 4 ciabatta or brioche buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; let rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and the last with panko and dried herbs.
  3. Dip each chicken breast in flour, then in egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Whisk together Caesar dressing ingredients until smooth.
  6. Assemble the sandwich: slice buns in half, layer with lettuce, crispy chicken, and drizzle with dressing; top with parmesan and close buns.

Notes

Let chicken rest after frying to retain juices. Customize with arugula or tomatoes for added freshness.
