Description
Delightful tarts filled with a creamy blend of cranberries and jalapeños, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh cranberries, pureed
- 2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped (deseeded for milder flavor)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- Fresh herbs (like cilantro or green onions), chopped
- 1 package ready-made pastry dough or homemade flaky crust
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the pastry dough to fit a muffin tin, cutting circles to line each cup. Prick the dough with a fork and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, jalapeños, and pureed cranberries. Mix until creamy, then stir in herbs, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Fill the pre-baked shells with the cranberry-jalapeño mixture, leaving a little space at the top. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until filling is set and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs or serve with crackers.
