Description

Delightful tarts filled with a creamy blend of cranberries and jalapeños, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries, pureed
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped (deseeded for milder flavor)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • Fresh herbs (like cilantro or green onions), chopped
  • 1 package ready-made pastry dough or homemade flaky crust
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the pastry dough to fit a muffin tin, cutting circles to line each cup. Prick the dough with a fork and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
  2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, jalapeños, and pureed cranberries. Mix until creamy, then stir in herbs, salt, and pepper to taste.
  3. Fill the pre-baked shells with the cranberry-jalapeño mixture, leaving a little space at the top. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until filling is set and golden.
  4. Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs or serve with crackers.

Notes

These tarts can be frozen before baking. Bake from frozen, adding extra time.
