- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper and grease the edges with butter.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter with granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cocoa powder over low heat.
- Once slightly cooled, add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Fold in flour, chocolate chips, and a pinch of salt, mixing until just combined.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the batter and swirl with a knife.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before lifting out and slicing into squares.
Notes
For vegan options, substitute eggs with flaxseed meal or applesauce. Use gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version.
