Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder; set aside.
- In a larger bowl, cream granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Chill dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll dough into balls and coat in powdered sugar.
- Place dough balls on prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm and centers are soft.
- Cool on sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
