Description

Decadent chocolate cups filled with silky caramel, perfect for holiday gatherings and sharing moments with loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel squares (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Mini cupcake liners or silicone molds
  • Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  2. Line a mini muffin pan with cupcake liners and spoon a small amount of melted chocolate into each liner.
  3. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate sets.
  4. If making homemade caramel, combine sugar and butter over medium heat until melted, then add cream and stir until combined.
  5. Once the chocolate base is set, add a layer of caramel filling just below the rim.
  6. Pour remaining melted chocolate over the caramel layer to seal.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes to set.
  8. Before serving, sprinkle sea salt on top of each cup.
  9. Carefully remove cups from liners and enjoy!

Notes

For a festive twist, try using white chocolate or mint chocolate. Keep extra melted chocolate aside for drizzling on top before serving.
