A heartwarming dish featuring juicy chicken thighs enveloped in a rich, creamy garlic sauce that brings comfort and flavor to your table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme and parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt a tablespoon of butter. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then sear in the skillet for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add the remaining butter, and sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and deglaze the pan, then slowly add the heavy cream. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Return chicken thighs to the skillet, spoon the sauce over them, and let simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve hot over rice, pasta, or your favorite side dish.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a non-dairy alternative. Adding vegetables like spinach or mushrooms can enhance flavor and nutrition.
