  • 1/2 cup cherry soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 cup cherries, fresh or canned

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in cherry soda until well combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the cherries gently.
  8. Scoop rounded amounts of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers look slightly underbaked.
  10. Allow cooling slightly on baking sheets before transferring to wire racks.
