Description

Delightful festive lollipops that blend sugary sweetness with refreshing peppermint, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • Red food coloring
  • Lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by laying down parchment paper on a baking sheet.
  2. In a medium saucepan, mix together sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir until combined.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar has fully dissolved. Use a candy thermometer to aim for 300°F (hard crack stage).
  4. Once the mixture reaches the desired temperature, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly. Stir in peppermint extract and food coloring.
  5. Carefully pour the mixture into lollipop molds, inserting sticks halfway down. Allow to cool completely.
  6. Once hardened, gently twist and pull the hearts out of the molds.

Notes

Work quickly once the sugar reaches the right temperature to avoid hardening. Ensure molds and sticks are prepared before starting.
