- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup sprinkles
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 2 tbsp milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the sprinkles gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Prepare the buttercream: beat softened butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together until creamy.
- Once the bars are cool, frost them with buttercream and add extra sprinkles if desired. Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
Make sure to cool the bars completely before frosting them to prevent melting.
