Description

Delicious and colorful baked donuts with a protein boost perfect for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup protein powder
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup colorful sprinkles
  • Optional: mini chocolate chips or nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, protein powder, baking powder, and sugar until well-blended.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined, then fold in sprinkles.
  5. Fill the donut molds about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool, then drizzle with a simple glaze and add more sprinkles on top.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or refrigerate for a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
