Description
A delightful combination of gooey Brie cheese wrapped in flaky puff pastry, topped with sweet-tart cranberry sauce—a perfect appetizer for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Brie Cheese
- 1 cup Cranberry Sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 sheet Puff Pastry
- 1 Egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Optional: Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary), honey
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Place the round of Brie in the center of the pastry and spoon a generous amount of cranberry sauce on top.
- Gently fold the pastry around the Brie, tucking it in to ensure no cheese escapes during baking.
- Brush the outside of the pastry with the egg wash.
- Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is gooey.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Pair with crackers or sliced baguette.
Notes
For the best results, let your Brie sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before baking.
