- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 ½ cups sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in a splash of vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt; gradually add this to the wet ingredients.
- Gently fold in the shredded coconut, chocolate chips, and sliced almonds.
- Pour the batter into your prepared pan, spreading evenly, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the bars cool completely in the pan before lifting out and slicing.
