Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the orzo in salted water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and strain the rest.
  2. Sauté the shrimp in a skillet with olive oil until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in broccoli and cook for 3-5 minutes until bright and slightly tender.
  5. Combine the cooked orzo and shrimp with the sauce, adjusting the consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
