- 3 cups Chex cereal (Rice or Corn)
- 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pecans)
- 2 cups mini pretzels
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine Chex cereal, mixed nuts, and pretzels.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar and salt, whisking until combined. Bring to a gentle boil and let bubble for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and add vanilla extract.
- Pour the warm toffee mixture over the cereal blend, tossing gently to coat.
- Spread the mixture on a lined baking sheet evenly.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
- Cool completely on the baking sheet before storing in an airtight container.
Notes
Add chocolate chips or a sprinkle of cinnamon for a twist. Make sure to stir frequently while baking to avoid burning.
