Description

A festive blend of fruits and spices that brings warmth and joy to every holiday gathering.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • Whole cranberries
  • Orange slices
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • 45 whole cloves
  • 23 cinnamon sticks
  • Optional: star anise
  • Sweetener: honey, maple syrup, or simple syrup, to taste
  • Chilled ginger ale or sparkling cider
  • Optional: splash of vodka, rum, or bourbon

Instructions

  1. Juice fresh oranges and measure out 1 cup of orange juice and 2 cups of cranberry juice.
  2. In a large punch bowl, mix the orange juice and cranberry juice together.
  3. Add whole cranberries, orange slices, and pomegranate seeds for flavor and presentation.
  4. Infuse with whole cloves, cinnamon sticks, and star anise, allowing to steep for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Sweeten to taste with honey or simple syrup, stirring well.
  6. Add chilled ginger ale or sparkling cider just before serving.
  7. Pour into glasses and garnish with fruit slices or fresh mint.

Notes

For a warm version, heat juices and spices on low until hot, but not boiling.
