Description

These vibrant tartlets combine sweet-tart cranberries with a spicy kick from jalapeños, all nestled in a buttery flaky crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 24 tablespoons ice water
  • 8 ounces cream cheese or Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 12 finely chopped jalapeños
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley (optional)
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and butter; blend until coarse crumbs form. Add salt and ice water to form dough.
  3. Roll out dough and cut into circles to fit tartlet pans; press into the pans.
  4. Mix cream cheese and sugar until smooth; stir in cranberries and jalapeños, then add herbs.
  5. Beat eggs and fold into the filling mixture.
  6. Spoon filling into crusts and bake for 20-25 minutes until set and golden.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes
