Description
Delicious sliders featuring juicy beef, crispy bacon, and gooey cheese, all nestled in buttery pretzel dough. Perfect for gatherings!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 mix)
- 6 slices thick-cut bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 batch pretzel dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg, mixed with 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
- Sesame or coarse salt (for topping)
- Condiments like mustard or ketchup
Instructions
- If using homemade dough, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and warm water. Knead until smooth and let rise for about 60 minutes.
- Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Leave some bacon fat in the pan and drain the rest on paper towels.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, breaking it into bite-sized pieces.
- Shape pretzel dough into small balls, flatten slightly, place a spoonful of beef mixture and crumbled bacon in the center, seal, and shape into sliders.
- Boil water with baking soda, and boil each slider for about 30 seconds. Drain and place on a baking sheet.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with salt. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Avoid overcooking sliders to keep them juicy. Add fresh veggies as toppings for extra nutrition.
