Description

Delicious honey glazed carrots that turn a simple vegetable into a delightful dish, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh carrots, peeled and cut into even-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • Fresh herbs (optional): thyme or parsley

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the fresh carrots, cutting them into even-sized pieces.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until it bubbles gently.
  3. Add the carrots, stirring them to coat in the butter, and sauté for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.
  4. Pour in the honey and add optional herbs, tossing to combine.
  5. Let them cook for another 10 to 15 minutes on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally to develop a glossy glaze.
  6. Season with a pinch of salt to taste. For extra caramelization, increase the heat for a minute or two, watching closely to prevent burning.

Notes

For a sweet twist, substitute maple syrup for honey. Coconut oil can be used instead of butter if desired.
