Description
A vibrant dip that combines the sweetness of cranberries with the spicy kick of jalapeños, perfect for entertaining and family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- 2 jalapeños (fresh or pickled, diced)
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 2 green onions (chopped)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
- 1 lime (juiced)
Instructions
- Prep the ingredients: Rinse cranberries and chop jalapeños (remove seeds for less heat if desired). Dice green onions and chop cilantro.
- Cook the cranberries: In a medium skillet over medium heat, add cranberries, a splash of water, and a spoonful of sugar. Stir until they pop and soften, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add jalapeños: Incorporate jalapeños into the skillet and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Mix it up: In a separate bowl, blend cream cheese and sour cream or Greek yogurt until smooth. Fold in the cranberry-jalapeño mixture and stir in green onions and cilantro.
- Finish with lime: Squeeze fresh lime juice into the dip, adjusting salt and pepper to taste.
- Chill and serve: Transfer to a serving dish and chill for at least 30 minutes. Serve with crackers, fresh veggies, or chips.
Notes
This dip can be made ahead of time and is best served chilled. Adjust the spiciness to your preference by modifying the amount of jalapeños.
