- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together oats, brown sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture and fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
- Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
