Deliciously savory Ham and Cheese Sticks wrapped in a flaky crust, perfect for family gatherings or cozy snacks.

Ingredients

  • Dough (store-bought puff pastry or homemade with flour, butter, and water)
  • Sliced ham (smoked, honey-baked, or leftover holiday ham)
  • Cheese (mozzarella and cheddar, or alternatives like gouda or pepper jack)
  • Egg wash (beaten egg mixed with water)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the dough by rolling out store-bought puff pastry or making homemade dough.
  3. Cut the dough into rectangles of about 4 inches by 6 inches.
  4. Add the filling of sliced ham and cheese to the center of each rectangle.
  5. Fold and seal the dough by pinching the edges together and crimping with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with egg wash for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute ham with sautéed mushrooms or spinach. Various cheeses can be used based on preference.
