  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • Fresh thyme or herbs of choice for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season pork chops generously with salt and black pepper on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low, add more butter if needed, and stir in minced garlic. Cook until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the honey and soy sauce, stirring constantly. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  5. Return the pork chops to the skillet, coating them with the sauce. Cook for another minute to absorb the flavors.
  6. Garnish with fresh thyme and serve hot with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the pork chops in the honey and soy sauce mixture for a couple of hours before cooking.
