Description

A delightful salmon dish with a crunchy sesame seed crust and savory garlic notes, perfect for family gatherings or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or sesame oil)
  • 1 green onion, chopped (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro or parsley, for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine sesame seeds, soy sauce, minced garlic, and oil; stir until mixed.
  3. Spread the sesame mixture generously over the salmon fillets.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil.
  5. Once the oil is shimmering, place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if applicable. Sear for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Flip the fillets and sear for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through and flaky.
  7. Remove from heat and let rest for a minute. Garnish with green onions and herbs.

Notes

Serve with a fresh salad or steamed rice for a complete meal. A squeeze of lemon can enhance the dish’s flavor.
