Ingredients

- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Boneless chicken breasts or thighs
- Fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or cilantro)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Trim excess fat from chicken and pat dry with paper towels.
- Add chicken to the yogurt mixture, ensuring it’s thoroughly coated. Cover or transfer to a resealable bag.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat or oven to 400°F (200°C).
- If grilling, cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). If baking, arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
- Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serve with side dishes.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with tofu or mushrooms. For dairy-free, use almond or coconut yogurt.
