Description

A delightful dish featuring salmon fillets seasoned with salt and topped with crunchy sesame seeds, creating a comforting and simple yet luxurious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup white sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup black sesame seeds
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, minced garlic, honey, and olive oil to create the marinade.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish and drizzle the marinade over them. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. After marinating, sprinkle the sesame seeds over the fillets, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Transfer the baking dish to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until the salmon easily flakes with a fork.
  6. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve immediately with a side of steamed vegetables or rice.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the salmon to maintain moisture. Broil for the last two minutes for a crisp top layer.
