- 8 strips thick-cut bacon
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup real maple syrup
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, reserving 1 tablespoon of bacon fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with the reserved bacon fat and mix until smooth.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese, maple syrup, bourbon, and minced garlic to the mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Chop cooled bacon and fold into the mixture, saving some for garnish.
- Transfer to a baking dish, top with green onions, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool briefly before serving with pretzel bites, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables.

Ensure cream cheese is softened for a smooth mixture. Adjust bourbon or maple syrup amounts to taste.
