Description

A sweet, smoky, and cheesy dip that’s perfect for gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 strips thick-cut bacon
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup real maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, reserving 1 tablespoon of bacon fat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with the reserved bacon fat and mix until smooth.
  3. Add shredded cheddar cheese, maple syrup, bourbon, and minced garlic to the mixture. Stir until well combined.
  4. Chop cooled bacon and fold into the mixture, saving some for garnish.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish, top with green onions, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  6. Let cool briefly before serving with pretzel bites, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened for a smooth mixture. Adjust bourbon or maple syrup amounts to taste.
