Description
A delightful twist on traditional stuffing combining ground turkey and tart cranberries, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup fresh cranberries (or dried cranberries)
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh sage, chopped (or 1/3 tsp dried)
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped (or 1/3 tsp dried)
- 1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1/3 tsp dried)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil. Add the diced onions and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant and golden, about 4-5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked onion and garlic with ground turkey, bread crumbs, chopped cranberries, finely chopped herbs, eggs, and a splash of chicken broth. Season generously with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Using a cookie scoop or your hands, form the mixture into equal-sized balls.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Let the stuffing balls rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, consider broiling the stuffing balls for the last few minutes of cooking. Ensure to adjust the moisture level if your mixture feels too dry.
