Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries
  • 8 ounces chocolate (dark, milk, or white)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts, sprinkles, shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries gently and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a heat-proof bowl, combine the chocolate and coconut oil, then melt over simmering water or use the microwave.
  3. Hold each strawberry by the leaves and dip it into the melted chocolate, then allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  4. Place dipped strawberries on parchment paper and add desired toppings before the chocolate sets.
  5. Let strawberries sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes to harden the chocolate.
  6. Arrange on a platter and serve.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality chocolate. For warmer climates, chill strawberries before dipping.
