- 1 wheel brie cheese
- 1 cup raw or roasted pistachios, chopped
- 1/2 cup fig jam
- 1 egg, beaten (or plant-based milk with flour for vegan option)
- 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary), chopped
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the brie into rounds, approximately ½-inch thick.
- In a bowl, combine the chopped pistachios, salt, and chopped herbs.
- Dip each brie round in the egg wash, then coat in the pistachio mixture.
- Place the coated rounds on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced about an inch apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
- Meanwhile, warm the fig jam in a small saucepan until smooth.
- Remove the brie from the oven and drizzle with the warmed fig jam.
- Serve immediately with crusty bread, crackers, or apple slices.
Notes
Toast the pistachios beforehand for enhanced flavor. Avoid pre-crumbled nuts for the best texture.
