Ingredients

  • Thick-cut rustic or sourdough bread
  • 34 fresh garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Dried herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix minced garlic with softened butter and a pinch of salt, then add chopped herbs.
  3. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over both sides of each slice of bread.
  4. Sprinkle a layer of shredded mozzarella over the top, followed by grated parmesan.
  5. Place the slices on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and top with fresh herbs before serving.
