Description

Delightful Peach Turnovers with a flaky pastry filled with sweet, juicy peaches and a hint of cinnamon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 fresh peaches, peeled and diced
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
  • Powdered sugar or caramel sauce (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares or circles.
  3. In a bowl, mix the diced peaches with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  4. Spoon the peach mixture into the center of each pastry piece, being careful not to overfill.
  5. Fold the pastry over to create a triangle or half-moon shape and seal the edges.
  6. If desired, brush the top with the egg wash.
  7. Place the turnovers on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding vanilla extract or fresh herbs. Serve with powdered sugar or a scoop of ice cream.
