- 3 fresh peaches, peeled and diced
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
- Powdered sugar or caramel sauce (for serving, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares or circles.
- In a bowl, mix the diced peaches with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Spoon the peach mixture into the center of each pastry piece, being careful not to overfill.
- Fold the pastry over to create a triangle or half-moon shape and seal the edges.
- If desired, brush the top with the egg wash.
- Place the turnovers on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding vanilla extract or fresh herbs. Serve with powdered sugar or a scoop of ice cream.
