Ingredients

- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, combine olive oil and butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Increase the heat to medium-high, season shrimp with salt and pepper, and add to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink.
- Pour in white wine, scraping the pan, and let simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Squeeze fresh lemon juice and sprinkle lemon zest over the top.
- Finish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with additional lemon wedges.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute shrimp with sautéed mushrooms. Adjust salt and pepper to your taste during cooking.
