Description

A delightful dish featuring plump shrimp in a luxurious garlic butter sauce served over pasta, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, combine olive oil and butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high, season shrimp with salt and pepper, and add to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink.
  4. Pour in white wine, scraping the pan, and let simmer for a couple of minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Squeeze fresh lemon juice and sprinkle lemon zest over the top.
  6. Finish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with additional lemon wedges.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute shrimp with sautéed mushrooms. Adjust salt and pepper to your taste during cooking.
