  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings
  • Diet: Gluten-Free (if using gluten-free tortillas)

Description

Delightful crispy fish tacos made with flaky white fish, topped with fresh avocado, cilantro, and zesty lime.

Ingredients

  • White fish (cod or tilapia)
  • Flour or corn tortillas
  • Cornmeal or breadcrumbs
  • Spices (paprika, garlic powder, cumin)
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Avocado
  • Lime
  • Creamy sauce (lime crema or spicy aioli)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the fish fillets in lime juice, garlic powder, paprika, and cumin for about 20 minutes.
  2. Coat each fillet in a mixture of flour and cornmeal or breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the fillets until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Warm tortillas and keep them wrapped in a towel.
  5. Assemble tacos with crispy fish, avocado slices, cilantro, and sauce, with a squeeze of lime on top.
  6. Serve immediately for the best crunch.

Notes

For substitutions, salmon or shrimp can be used. Whole wheat tortillas can replace regular ones for a healthier option.
