Ingredients
- White fish (cod or tilapia)
- Flour or corn tortillas
- Cornmeal or breadcrumbs
- Spices (paprika, garlic powder, cumin)
- Fresh cilantro
- Avocado
- Lime
- Creamy sauce (lime crema or spicy aioli)
Instructions
- Marinate the fish fillets in lime juice, garlic powder, paprika, and cumin for about 20 minutes.
- Coat each fillet in a mixture of flour and cornmeal or breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the fillets until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Warm tortillas and keep them wrapped in a towel.
- Assemble tacos with crispy fish, avocado slices, cilantro, and sauce, with a squeeze of lime on top.
- Serve immediately for the best crunch.
Notes
For substitutions, salmon or shrimp can be used. Whole wheat tortillas can replace regular ones for a healthier option.
